Sarcan staff

We have been operating a SARCAN facility since 1988. As the recycling division of SARC, the province-wide association that provides services to community-based organizations such as Valley Action, the mandate of every SARCAN depot is to provide a socially responsible and environmentally progressive recycling system which helps to foster the sustainable development of our community. We work in contract with the Government of Saskatchewan to recycle beverage containers.

Drop & Go

In addition to our regular counter service, we also offer a Drop & Go service, so customers in a hurry don’t have to wait in line.

Rosthern SARCAN staff will still count your beverage containers, and you can choose to either receive your deposit refund cash electronically, through PayPal or donate it to a registered charity or a bottle drive. You must register an account to receive your payment. Click on the button below or register the next time you are at the depot.

Bringing your recycling to SARCAN

When customers bring their beverage containers to the Rosthern SARCAN depot, they receive the refund of the deposit that was initially paid for at the time of purchase. Electronics, Batteries and Paint are recycled as well; however, they do not have deposits attached to them, so there is no refund given by SARCAN.

All beverage containers, electronics and paint are processed and recycled into new products. All materials received by SARCAN are recycled responsibly, within North America; nothing is ever shipped overseas or sent to landfills.

Host a bottle drive!

Now that you can run a virtual bottle drive, raising money for your group, sports team or organization has never been easier. Customers who use the Drop & Go service can choose to donate their refunds to the charity of their choice.  Learn more.
